is only 45 minutes from Sarakiz Villa and is easy to get to all year round.

Which is the nearest airport ? |
The nearest airport is Dalaman - about 45 minute drive (a toll operates so remember to have 3 Lira available). There are frequent flights to Dalaman from many airports. We recommend using the website www.skyscanner.net where you can search for all flights from a specific country or airport over a range of dates. |
| Which airlines fly to Dalaman from the UK ? | From the UK the main operators are Thomas
Cook, Thompson,
EasyJet, Aegean
Flights, Monarch
and new flights from Pegasus
Airlines. We recommend using the website www.skyscanner.net where you can search for all flights from a specific country or airport over a range of dates. |
| Do I require a Visa ? | Yes. Visitors visas are obtained on arrival at Dalaman,
the 2009 value of the visa being £10 (Ten Pounds Sterling). The customs
accept £10 notes and £20 Notes (for two - no change). You can
also pay in Euro and other currencies. The visa is valid for 90 days (not 3 months). |
| Can you provide airport transfers ? | Yes. We can provide pre-arranged transfers, which are
there to collect your group (they do not make other pick-up stops). The
price varies depending on the number in the group, for details see the Airport
Transfers document. Prices start from £65 return for 2 people. |
| How do I collect the keys for the villa ? | If you arrange airport transfers then the driver will
give you the keys and show you around the villa. If you make your own way there we will arrange for the Management company to meet you at the villa. Their contact details will be provided on booking. |
| What happens when we arrive at the villa? | You will be shown around the villa and our contacts will
explain everything to you. We provide you with a welcome pack for the "essentials" including drinks, tea & coffee, bread and jam. If you have any special dietary needs please let us know. We can also provide special extras on request for a special occasion. In the villa is a copy of our Sarakiz Villa Manual which wil explain how everything works and also a quick guide to the area. More information is available on our website. |
| What is the earliest we arrive at the villa ? | We recognise that you may have night flights so we are
as flexible as possible. The usual arrival time is after 15:00 but we will
try our best to suit your arrival times. It very much depends on when the
previous guests are leaving. If we cannot make arrangements, then it is possible to use the nearby hotel on a short-term basis; they are very friendly and helpful. |
| What happens when we leave the villa? | If you have pre-arranged airpoert trasnfers, you will
be collected from the villa in good time - which will be agreed wih the
driver when you arrvive. The driver ill collect the keys. If you make your own way then you can either drop the keys off at the Management company office (preferred) or we can arrange for them to meet you at the villa. |
| What is the latest we can leave the villa ? | We recognise that you may have night flights so we are
as flexible as possible. The usual departure time is by 10:00 but we will
try our best to cater for your needs. It very much depends on when the previous guests are arriving. If we cannot make arrangements, then it is possible to use the nearby hotel on a short-term basis; they are very friendly and helpful. |
| Who do I contact in case of Emergency ? | Obviously this depends on the type of emergency. There are contact numbers for all the emergency services in the manual, but you can always call the Management Company in case of emergency - they are available 24 hours and will be able to direct you to the most suitable point of contact your emergency. |
| Can we use the pool any time we want? | The private pool is available for your use any time you
wish, but of course we advise that your put safety considerations first
- so avoid night swmming, especially after a meal or alcholhol. The pool is cleaned daily and there are chemicals added. Please leave the pool for at least an hour following treatment. The clearner nowmally arrives very early ech morning so this is not usually a problem. Do not use attempt to add any chemicals yourself. |
| Are towels provided for use in the villa ? | Towels are provided for use in the villa. However, please use your own towels for the pool and beach. If you forgot to bring a pool towel they are readily available at local Calis market and shops in Calis. |
| Is there a washing machine? | A washing machine is provided for your own use (details
of operation provided in the manual). In the summer months you can wash
and dry your clothes in the same day. A clothes airer and pegs are also
provided. |
| Is linen provided ? | Clean linen is provided for the duration of your stay.
A washing machine is provided should you wish to wash this during your
stay. There are also blankets but you may not need these due to the warm summer
temperatures. |
| Is there a safe for my valuables? | A safe is provided in the kitchen cupboard next to the
fridge. There is an instruction card next to the safe to explain how to set the code for the lock. Please do not write down the code – choose a number you can easily remember. However, we would always advise to leave any valuables such as expensive jewellry at home. |
| Do we have to clean the villa ? | We like to think that Sarakiz Villa becomes your second
home during your stay in Turkey. Cleaning materials and equipment is provided
in the utility room and kitchen. Most guests prefer to clean the villas as they go (it is very low maintenance) but if you do want a full clean during your stay this can be arranged at a price of £22.50 (2009 prices); this can be arranged with the Management company. |
| How do I get to the villa ? | If you have pre-arranged transport then the driver will
take you directly to the villa. If you are making your own way, we have directions available in Appendix 2 of the Villa User Manual. The directions are from Dalaman airport (a toll operates so remember to have 3 Lira available). We can provide directions from other airports on request. |
| Who owns the villa ? | The villa is privately owned by Edward Crompton, who lives in Beverley, UK. It was built by the current owner in 2007/2008 and is used as a holiday home as well as for rental. The owners are very keen for you to feel comfortable on you holiday and if there is anything you need for your stay, don't hesitate to ask. |
| Where is the villa ? | Sarakzi Villa is situated in the
quiet rural region of Ciftlik not far from the small resort town of Calis
and Fethiye. For an overview of the location and nearest amenities and becah, you can either use the Google Earth link (you need to have Google Earth installed) or view this local overview map. |
